Two people tragically lost their lives early Tuesday morning in Anaheim, California, following a multi-vehicle crash caused by a driver who refused to stop for police.
According to the Anaheim Police Department, officers attempted to stop a silver Infiniti near Lincoln Avenue and Anaheim Boulevard around 1 a.m., but the driver ran a red light and collided with three other vehicles. One victim was in a red sedan, and another was a passenger inside the suspect’s vehicle. The driver and two possible teenage passengers in the Infiniti were critically injured. Additional minor injuries were reported in a blue sedan and a white Cadillac Escalade.
Authorities have not released the identity of the suspect, and it remains unclear why the driver fled or whether impairment played a role. No officers were injured during the incident.
The community mourns the loss of the two victims, with thoughts and prayers extended to their families during this difficult time. The intersection remained closed for much of the morning as authorities investigated the crash.
