An unidentified individual has tragically lost their life following a fiery crash in the Modesto area early Tuesday morning, leaving the community shaken.
According to authorities, emergency crews responded to the scene near Highway 99 and Main Street shortly before 12:30 a.m. after reports of a serious accident. Upon arrival, first responders discovered that a vehicle had veered off the freeway and collided with a tree before becoming engulfed in flames.
Firefighters worked quickly to bring the fire under control, but despite their efforts, the occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
