FRESNO, Calif. — A security guard was injured Monday afternoon after being stabbed while trying to break up a family dispute at a Fresno bank, police said.
Officers with the Fresno Police Department responded around 1:30 p.m. to the Golden 1 Credit Union following reports of a disturbance.

According to police, the guard attempted to intervene in an argument between a mother and her sons when one of the individuals turned the weapon on him. The suspect reportedly used a pocket knife, and authorities said the guard’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The injured guard was transported to Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC) for treatment.
Police are searching for the suspect, described as a 34-year-old Hispanic man, who fled the scene. As of now, he remains outstanding.
The bank was temporarily closed as officers processed the scene and conducted their investigation.
